Neat!īefore Arthus became the Lich King we know him as today, he had a trusty steed by his side for his entire young manhood. It’s worth noting that in legend, A Phoenix can’t actually die, but is returned to ashes before being reborn, which means that when you summon with the Ashes of Al’ar, you’re actually observing Al’ar himself be reborn before riding on him. To farm your very own Ashes of Al’ar, you’ll need to run a Mythic difficulty of The Eye raid and slay the one and only Kael’thas Sunstrider. But if you want to have a solid understanding of what kind of history this item has, it’s worth keeping the aforementioned reality in mind. Maybe all of this means something to you, maybe it doesn’t. The Merciless Gladiator’s Crossbow of the Phoenix, “Kyle’s Gone Missing!”, and Elder Ezra Wheathoof are all remnants commemorating the young man.Īs a gift, Ezra also received the World’s first Ashes of Al’armount. Before that, Blizzard and Ezra worked together to create unique content for the game. For those who don’t know, Ezra was an avid player of WoW who suffered from a terminal illness that would ultimately cause his passing into the beyond. Its history in WoW starts with Ezra Chatterton. The Ashes of Al’ar serve as more than just a handsome companion, though. This flying Mount boasts a gorgeous pink and golden colour pattern, and strikes an elevated ego with its Phoenix design, reborn in the ashes. If you’re considering taking it on, we recommend making sure your character is up to scratch by checking out our Top Ten Bows before taking it on. A fun fact about this drop is that, even though it boasts the common 1% drop rate, it’s actually listed as a rough 4% drop rate on WoWHead due to the limited statistics available.Īpparently, the community is finding this Mythic Raid less farm-able than others. Like all of the aforementioned raids, it is possible to solo this boss with enough levels and gear. The Mount can be obtained from slaying Archimonde in the Mythic Hellfire Citadel. Additionally, the Mount is flying, making it the perfect main companion for the engineers among us who’d rather have something technologically impressive instead of magical. This Mount, as mentioned, is a mech with green flame oozing from its back and sides as the player walks with a hefty stride and smooth animations. If you enjoy titan fall but always felt the mechs didn’t have enough green oozing from their exhaust, Felsteel Annihilator is for you. In short, the drop rate should be fixed now, but don’t be surprised if you notice some odd rates you aren’t used to. It seems Blizzard got around to fixing the problem, but instead of saying that the drop rate was *fixed* they stated that they simply upped the normal drop rate to seem as though there was nothing wrong in the first place. Note the ‘supposed’ is there because it seems many players were running into issues with the drop rate seeming to resemble something closer to 1/400 as opposed to the rough 1/100 most old-expansion mounts drop at.
The Ironhoof Destroyer is available to those who run the Mythic Blackrock Foundry raid, and is currently running at a *supposed* 2.4% drop rate. Wears, by the way, which are said to have been designed by Blackhand himself. This monster of a Mount is reminiscent of something you’d find prowling the outskirts of Thunder Bluff, except that this animal is strapped with the defense of heavy armor and the power of flame spitting out the sides of its wears.
